Dave is from McCalla, Alabama and grew up in a very musical family. Beginning guitar at 5 years old, Dave played with local Bama cover bands like Shead & Bonedaddy along with southeastern circuit band Albatross. He also co-founded original band Pondo Sinatra.
Moving to Raleigh, NC in 2002, Dave met Nate and formed Mighty Thumb. A band that did a mixture of covers & originals. Larry and Jay joined later on as Mighty Thumb morphed into Thermopyle as an all original band.
After a few years in Myrtle Beach, SC, Dave moved back to the Raleigh area and re-connected with Larry, Jay & Nate to form RELEK. Dave is the main songwriter of the band.

Dave is also a huge Auburn football fan and a breakfast cereal aficionado!
